Einstellungsvoraussetzungen sind neben den allgemeinen dienstrechtlichen Voraussetzungen grundsätzlich:

ein abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium (also mind. ein MA, ein Magister, Staatsexamen oder äquivalenter ausländischer Bildungsabschluss),
pädagogische Eignung,
besondere Befähigung zu wissenschaftlicher Arbeit (i.d.R. nachweisbar durch die Qualität einer Promotion)

Description

Part of the generic category university teachers.

Status: Temporary civil servant or public servant, non-permanent (limited to 6 years).

Institutions concerned: Universities, Universities of Applied Sciences

Duties: Mostly teaching (teaching duty is 12 to 18 contact hours)

Rights: Participation on the thesis committee

Grades: For 4 years as temporary civil servant (W 1 according to civil service tariff group W) or public servant (according to public service tariff agreement). Limited in total to 6 years, but it can be transformed into a Hochschuldozentur in certain circumstances.

Salary range: W 1 : €4.909,04 (monthly basic salary). Similar when public servant.

Evaluation: After two years.

Additionals: This position exists only in one of the states ("Bundesländer"), namely in Baden-Württemberg. Exists very often at Universities of Education. Teaching duty is three times higher than the one of a Juniorprofessor/in.

Pflichten: Hauptsächlich Lehre (Lehrverpflichtung: 12 bis 18 Semesterwochenstunden)

Rechte: Teilnahme an der Promotionskommission

Gehaltsgruppen: Zunächst für 4 Jahre als Beamter auf Zeit (W 1 nach Besoldungsordnung W) oder Angestellter im öffentlichen Dienst (nach TV-L) angestellt. Nach sechs Jahren endet die Amtszeit, kann allerdings unter bestimmten Bedingungen in eine Hochschuldozentur umgewandelt werden.

Gehaltsspanne: W 1 : €4.909,04 (monatliches Grundgehalt). Ähnlich wenn Angestellte/r im öffentlichen Dienst.

Evaluation: Nach zwei Jahren.

Weiteres: Es gibt diese Position nur in einem Bundesland, nämlich in Baden-Württemberg. Sehr oft an Pädagogischen Hochschulen zu finden. Das Lehrdeputat ist etwa dreimal höher als bei einer Juniorprofessur.
