Definition

(Female form: Magistra)

Old German diploma, equivalent to a Master’s degree.

  • 9 semesters (or longer)
  • Degree in the humanities and social sciences: The most commonly awarded Magister degree was the Magister Artium (M.A.).
  • Being phased out since the Bologna Reforms, just like the Diplom.

  • Läuft seit der Bologna Reform aus, wie auch das Diplom.
