Beamte/r auf Zeit
Definition
Temporary civil service relation. Hereby an exception from the normal civil servant on probation ("auf Probe") respectively civil servant for life ("auf Lebenszeit").
- Possible in specific cases:
- akademische/r Rätin/Rat (3 years / plus 4 years Oberrat)
- akademische/r Oberrätin/Oberrat (4 years)
- Juniorprofessor/in (6 years).
- Not subject to:
- civil service career law
- provisional retirement
- probation period (civil servant on probation who becomes - when successful - eventually civil servant for life).
- regularised period of time, ending automatically
- Extension possible through application by the line manager for another mandate, also if extenuating circumstances

- Ermöglichung in besonderen Fällen:

- Juniorprofessor/in (6 Jahre).
- Keine Anwendung von:
- Laufbahnrecht
- Einstweiliger Ruhestand
- Probezeit (Beamte/r auf Probe, der dann auf Lebenszeit berufen werden kann).
- gesetzlich bestimmte Dauer, endet automatisch
- Verlängerung möglich durch Antrag durch Vorgesetzten für eine weitere Amtszeit, auch wegen besonderer Umstände
