Description
  • Status: A teaching fellow is a member of the academic staff at a higher education institution. A teaching fellow may have the same teaching and administrative duties as a lecturer, but does not necessarily undertake research. Could be full time or part time with a fixed term or a permanent contract. There may be a period of probation.
  • Institutions concerned: higher education institutions (HEIs)
  • Duties: a teaching fellow carries out significant teaching load, administrative duties, design and delivery of course materials. The position does not require research.
  • Grades: Grades A (7) & B (8).
  • Salary range: £35,000 to £42,000
