Enseignants-chercheurs
Les Enseignants-chercheurs (teacher-researchers) have a dual mission of teaching and research, as opposed to researchers who have only a research mission. The permanent Enseignants-chercheurs are divided between the corps of the maîtres de conférences and the corps of the professors. They participate in the development, through their research, and ensure the transmission, through their teaching, knowledge for initial and continuing training. They provide leadership, advice, tutoring and guidance to students and contribute to their professional integration. They also have a mission of development, expertise and coordination of basic, applied, educational or technological research as well as the valorisation of its results as well as the dissemination of knowledge and links with the economic, social and cultural environment. Finally, they participate in international cooperation and the administration of the establishment (Article L. 952-3 of the Education Code and Article 3 of Decree No. 84-431 of 6 June 1984).
Les Enseignants-chercheurs ont une double mission d'enseignement et de recherche, par opposition aux Chercheurs qui n'ont qu'une mission de recherche. Les Enseignants-chercheurs titulaires sont répartis entre le corps des maîtres de conférences et le corps des professeurs des universités. Ils participent à l'élaboration, par leur recherche, et assurent la transmission, par leur enseignement, des connaissances au titre de la formation initiale et continue. Ils assurent la direction, le conseil, le tutorat et l'orientation des étudiants et contribuent à leur insertion professionnelle. Ils ont également une mission de développement, d’expertise et de coordination de la recherche fondamentale, appliquée, pédagogique ou technologique ainsi que la valorisation de ses résultats ainsi que de diffusion des connaissances et de liaison avec l’environnement économique, social et culturel. Ils participent enfin à la coopération internationale et à l’administration de l’établissement (article L. 952-3 du code de l’éducation et article 3 du décret n° 84-431 du 6 juin 1984).
